6. Adapt a branding style to your client’s taste.

You want your client to think “This is exactly what I need” when they see your website. In order to do this the visual message must be tailored to their taste.

A very useful technique is to create a persona – an imaginary client that will help you personalize your brand’s message. You need to imagine a single person (a representation of your ideal client), specify if it’s a woman or a man, what’s their; job, age, issues and challenges.

Remember that you would create a different visual message for a 25-year-old art student from a big city than for a 40-year-old stay-at-home mum from a village. Imagine that kind of person clearly while designing your branding.

7. Be consistent.

To strengthen your business image remember to be consistent with every promotional piece you produce. Your logo, website, your ads on Facebook and pictures on Instagram must create one consistent unity.

Create a colour scheme, choose one or two standard fonts, use photographs in similar style. That way the client will be able to recognize and choose your business over the others.  Observe how brands like Apple, Zara or VOGUE do it.
