4. Put your pictures in a context.

Apart from people, include the environment. Everything works better in context so use it while telling your photographic story. Add a shot of the architecture or some meaningful objects to your lifestyle photography set.

5. Attract the viewer’s eye.

Lifestyle photography needs to tell a story. Show your viewer where to look and show the story you want. It’s not an easy exercise but you’ll be happy with the effect. On my picture I captured Weronika, (who’s also a photographer) showing her results to our model – Monika. Do you have any doubts where I want you to look? 🙂

Summary

To sum up, this is how to achieve great results in lifestyle photography:

  1. Keep it natural.
  2. Take close up pictures.
  3. Add a bit of a mystery.
  4. Put your pictures in a context.
  5. Attract the viewer’s eye.

Try it out and let me know the results in the comments below. Maybe you have another tip to add? 🙂
